Buddha in the Garden
In my continuing documentation of the lovely and novel garden ornamentation people put in their yards, I bring you the Buddha of Red Hook.
Found a few years ago in Brooklyn while traipsing around for some site analysis, I came across this Buddha in a side yard. I was impressed with the curation of the view through the outside gate, not sure if it was purposeful or not, but it provided a good picture.

Chicksitting
I find myself chicksitting this week while my brothers are out of town. What they do not know is they might not get them back. You can't help but smile with their sweet little chirps. The curious guy in front is Sparrow.
I figure a little animal husbandry can fit into the garden. These are the miniatures, perfect for a backyard or a little farm along Westside Road.

Citizens of the Garden
In honor of my finally seeing Gnomeo and Juliet (great movie!), I celebrate the underappreciated and often mocked creatures of the Garden. These are some of the residents of my garden.
Other cool uses of kitsch are Ken Smith's Daisy Border or any other installation at Cornerstone Gardens in Sonoma (if you haven't gone and you are in the Bay Area, it is a must!) and what I lovingly referred to as the 'Lawn Jockey' Club (21 Club) on 52nd in New York.
